Michal is a devoted adventurer and climber. As early as fourteen, he spent his pocket money on climbing gear. In a relatively short time, he worked his way up from Slovak limestone rocks to the soaring peak of eight-thousand Dhaulágirí that he reached with Peter Hámor. Michal entered the history of Slovak climbing by a successful crossing of the ridge of the Tatras alpine style in winter conditions. He explored, climbed, and parachuted from pristine mountains in Antarctica and Greenland.
