About me

Great for cool weather, this lightweight, hooded anorak is a fond nod to a Patagonia heritage style. It provides 50+ UPF sun protection and wind and water resistance, plus has a flapped pouch-style front pocket. Made of NetPlus® 100% postconsumer recycled nylon faille made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution; with a PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemicals).

Description

Lightweight, durable fabric is wind- and water-resistant and made of NetPlus® 100% postconsumer recycled nylon faille made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution; with a PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemicals) and 50+ UPF sun protection. Mesh-lined pullover anorak has a three-panel hood for protection from the elements; elastic at hood opening provides a secure fit. Deep front placket has snaps for easy on/off. Adjustable snaps at cuffs to keep out drafts. Center-front drop-in pocket doubles as a stuffsack and has a snapped flap with built-in hanger loop. Side-entry pouch-style front pocket. Hem has side scallops.

Made of post-industrial waste or old fishing nets, recycling nylon diverts waste from landfills and oceans and its production requires less water, energy and fossil fuels than virgin nylon.

NetPlus®

NetPlus® is a material developed by Bureo company, used for the brim stiffeners in Patagonia's hats. It is made from 100% recycled discarded fishing nets collected in fishing communities in South America. This project benefits these fishermen as well as our planet by repurposing 32,2 tonnes of harmful plastic waste per year..
