When an inventor William Stanley Jr. experimentally combined the insulating properties of vacuum with the strength of stainless steel, perhaps he had no idea that he would change the way we carry hot drinks and food forever. The tea thermos he invented in 1913 instantly became an integral part of skiing and hiking equipment. The thermos is no longer an unusual phenomenon among coffee lovers, too.
